Opening
You can have an incredible story and still confuse everybody if you can't communicate it.
A great brand should be easy to understand.
Not simplistic.
Clear.
Some people need five minutes to explain what they do.
That's a problem.
Your one-sentence position
Start with:
Who are you?
Who do you serve?
What do you help them achieve?
That's your core positioning statement.
Then simplify it.
If you met somebody in an elevator, could they understand it?
Your core message
Your positioning explains what you do.
Your core message explains what you believe.
For Bobby Lashley Academy, one major idea is:
Build the discipline. Learn the business. Create the legacy.
That tells you something about the entire philosophy.
Discipline first. Execution. Ownership. Long-term thinking.
Your brand should have ideas you return to repeatedly.
Three talking points
I want you to identify three beliefs you want your audience to hear again and again.
For example:
Discipline matters more than temporary motivation.
Your experience can become an asset.
Ownership creates opportunity.
Those messages can appear in twenty different stories without becoming twenty different brands.
Repetition is good.
Great brands repeat important ideas.
Your bio
You need several versions.
A one-line bio.
A short social bio.
A 100-word professional bio.
And a longer speaker/media bio.
The longer version should include credibility.
But even the long version should have direction.
Don't list every accomplishment you've ever had.
Include what supports the current positioning.
Taglines
A tagline is optional, but it can help.
Keep it short. Memorable. Connected to your philosophy.
Don't try to be so clever nobody understands it.
Your assignment
Create:
One positioning sentence. One tagline. One social bio. One 100-word bio. Three recurring beliefs. One primary call to action.
Save all of these.
You're going to use them repeatedly.
Closing
Clarity creates confidence.
When you know what you stand for, who you serve, and what message you're repeating, everything gets easier.
Next we're talking about authority.
And here's the good news:
You don't need a million followers to build it.
Your Brand Language Kit
Save these. You're going to use them repeatedly.
